Hanky Pysanky - PDF

This sampler was inspired by the Ukrainian art of pysanky, where beeswax is applied with a fine stylus and multiple layers of dyeing transform a simple egg into a work of art.224 x 160 stitch count.The model was stitched on 32 count Black Belfast linen using Carrie’s Threads. As Carrie's Threads are no longer being sold, a conversion to Gentle Arts Sampler Threads has been added along with the DMC suggested colors. Two separate colorways are suggested: the pinks as shown in the sampler version as well as a rainbow palette shown on the smalls.Pattern includes finishing instructions for finishing this Biscornu and Scissor Keeper.
