Montreal's one and only doo-wop garage-punk one-man-band, BBQ (né Mark Sultan and one half of the King Khan and BBQ Show) released this full-length on the famed Bomp label in 2005. Playing everything (all at once), BBQ spits out a primal stomp of garage, soul, R&B, and doo-wop that can pack a dance floor tight. There's no gimmick here (even if maybe there is one): this is just a man who loves pure rock & roll and cuts straight to the bone to let the marrow spill.
