This light is built using the tightly focused 30 Degree Spot LED's instead of the standard 60 Degree Flood LED's in the original Nova-CD. The spread of the Spot version is cut in half when compared to a 60 degree flood. In doing so, the tighter angle (spread) results in the output nearly doubling when compared to a 60 Degree Flood. Because the light is so much more focused, it can be placed back up to two times further. The further the light is placed back, the wider the spread becomes. This light is great for highlighting a single subject where a high amount of light is needed.
