Original examples of the Australian WWII Owen Machine carbine are quite hard to come by, and we have only had a few over our many years of business. With the dearth on the market, we have been seeing these wonderful custom fabricated replicas appearing on the market. We just acquired this wonderful example at a military show. There are no original parts used in the construction of this replica display gun, and it looks like almost every part was custom fabricated. Amazingly, the butt stock actually has a functional latch for removal, which can't have been easy to do. There is also a magazine catch that keeps the magazine in the top in place. Definitely some quality fabrication! We received it "in the white" unfinished, but have given it a coat of our lovely gunmetal gray spray paint, which really makes it POP.
