New Made Item: Due to many requests, we have at long last again recreated a limited supply of these German WWI Maxim MG 08/15 Bipod Assemblies. We had some of these made decades ago, and they ran out. Now they are finally available again! These were also used on the big Single Shot WWI Mauser 1918 T-Gewehr Anti-Tank Rifle. Wonderfully constructed from steel. It is hard to tell these from the originals once a little wear takes place. Painted flat black to match your MG08/15 or Anti-Tank rifle, some fitting may be required. History of the MG 08- The Maschinengewehr 08, or MG 08, was the German Army's standard machine gun in World War I and is an adaption of Hiram S. Maxim's original 1884 Maxim gun. It was produced in a number of variants during the war. The MG 08 served during World War II as a heavy machine gun in many German infantry divisions, although by the end of the war it had mostly been relegated to second-rate fortress units.
