Original Item: One-of-a-kind. Purchased directly from David F. Machnicki, the author of At Arm's Length Trench Club book Series. We were told that this club will be featured in the upcoming Volume three of the series. This is a fantastic example of a World War One all steel British trench raiding mace or club. Its length approximates 16.75 inches and has a mass of 2 lbs. It is consorted of a steel pipe with a six pointed star cog shaped head. The diameter of the head from one point to another is approximately 2.5 inches. A hole was drilled to the base of the pipe for a lanyard. The steel has rusted and most of the original ordnance green paint is gone but traces of it remain. An incredible example of a nearly impossible to fine Great War British Trench Mace.
