This is an exceptional STG 44 with all original German WW2 manufactured parts built using an original receiver that has been assembled into a crisp BATF approved non-firing display gun! Called the Sturmgewehr 44 it was considered by many to be the original pattern for the modern assault rifle, the MP44 was developed to give German troops fighting in Russia a means of delivering large volumes of fire at the seemingly endless supply of Soviet troops. This sample is in excellent condition bearing original serial number 1687, multiple Waffenamt Codes and is dated 1944! Both the receiver and trigger group have inspection stamps. Constructed by a precision-minded master-craftsman exclusively for IMA this display gun was built from an IMA all original WW2 era parts set that includes an original demilitarized receiver, and a non-functional reproduction metal MP44 magazine.
