Original U.S. Korean War Deactivated 81mm M43A1B1 HE Mortar Shell Round dated 1953 - Inert

Original Item: Only One Available. Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and no fuse. This mortar round cannot be converted to an explosive device and is not available for export. This is a totally genuine United States military Korean War produced SHELL, M43A1B1, without fuze. The fuse base is open and allows the explosive chamber to be inspected. The shell body itself is marked on the side with:LLD-1-62-1953-81MM-M43A1B1 The body still has been repainted black for reasons unknown. The original blue paint can still be seen in parts, indicating this was used in training. There is a bit of rust and corrosion on the shell, giving it a lovely aged patina. The tail fins are unfortunately unable to be removed. Perfect for any ordnance display! The SHELL, H.E., M43 was originally adapted as the light shell for the 81-mm mortar. It is designed for use against light targets such as machine gun nests, barbed wire entanglements and personnel in the open. S
