Original U.S. WWII Deactivated 81mm M43A1 HE Mortar Shell Round dated 1942 - Inert

Original Item: Only One Available. Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and without fuse. This mortar round cannot be converted to an explosive device and is not available for export. This is a totally genuine United States military WWII produced SHELL, M43A1, without fuze. It still has the spring in the tip, and many internal components. The fuse base is open and allows the explosive chamber to be inspected. The shell body itself is marked on the side with:LOT 16 - 23143 - 1 - 42   KVS 81MM M43A1 - D.N.H. The body still has much of the original yellow paint, which designates it as a HE or high explosive shell. There is a bit of rust and corrosion on the shell, giving it a lovely aged patina.
