Original U.S. WWII Inert 81mm M56 HE Mortar Shell Round - Dated 1945

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a totally genuine United States military WWII produced SHELL, M56, with incorrect base fins. The round still has a lot of the original OD green paint on the exterior, though unfortunately the stamped paint markings on the body have mostly worn away. Measures approximately 20 5/8 inches long. Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. The M56 was the heaviest of the US military 81mm types used during WWII, with an overall weight of 16 lbs with a maximum range of 1,300 yards.
