Dansk Mjod Viking Blod Mead

Hibiscus gives Viking Blod (meaning blood) its characteristic reddish color, evocative of the blood Vikings spilled in their fierce battles, hence the name. However, this mead is completely harmless, with a sweet, floral taste. Dansk Mjod has combined their traditional mead with dried hibiscus and ginger to make Viking Blod, thus giving it a distinctive color as well as a spicy, aromatic and floral taste. Viking Blod is a little like a good madeira. 19% ABV
