Antique, silver plate/ silver soldered, Meat dome/ food cloche. This gorgeous dome was used to cover meat (turkey, roasts, etc) or other foods in hotels, restaurants or wealthy homes. The dome is semi lobed with a square handle. This solid piece would be great for use as well as display--especially for those who collect hotel style silver. Measurements: approx 11 3/4" long x 9" wide x 3 1/2" tall inside, 5" tall to top of handle. Makers Mark: The information has been scratched or worn out, See photo. I can make out bits of the words Silver, Soldered, hotel a 4, 0, 0 and a 12 The dome/cloche is in good antique condition.
