The legend of the “Paladin” refers to the twelve brave warriors under Emperor Charlemagne during the medieval period. The collaboration between Paladin and Zhengzhou Nissan has created a legendary off-road vehicle in China. When discussing the Zhengzhou Nissan Paladin, one must mention its performance in the Dakar Rally. In 2004, Chinese driving champion Lu Ningjun piloted a Paladin race car that had only undergone basic safety modifications. He traversed the vast Sahara Desert and, despite hardships, safely reached the finish line, ranking 57th overall.
