It has a 1:1 field of view, threaded stainless steel body for easy mounting and it's self-powered so no additional power source is required for use. IRt/c’s are pre-calibrated at the factory  for typical target material emissive properties, but actual emissivities may differ. The accuracies specified assume that the precalibrated value is correct for your installation, or that the system has been calibrated at a single point for the application.  The calibration temperature is included in the part number, for example the  IR-EX-IRt/c.1X-J-440F/220C is calibrated at 440°F.  The error of this sensor at 10°F away from the 440°F, that is 430 or 450°F would be ± 0.4% of reading (1.7°F at 430°F)
