Hades God of the Underworld

Stones and coins cascade through the soil, while tree roots transform into serpentine forms. He grips the collar of his ferocious companion, Cerberus. The three-headed dog’s mouths are surreal, bristling with extra canine teeth. In the dark sky of the underworld hangs Pluto, the distant celestial body associated with Hades. Below, a portal to the afterlife glows faintly, and in the foreground, a parade of small ghouls marches forward. The river Styx winds its way through the scene, illuminated and flowing like a path to the other side. This piece was inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt and Hieronymus Bosch.
