Homage to Van Gogh

This Van Gogh-inspired piece, commissioned by Adelman Fine Art Gallery in 2024 for their group show, celebrates the legacy of the master himself. Despite being over a century since Van Gogh’s time, his work continues to mesmerize audiences worldwide. In this tribute, the artist Iris Scott draws inspiration from Starry Night and other iconic landscapes, using Post- Impressionism as a springboard for new compositional ideas. This painting reflects a deep respect for Van Gogh’s genius while offering a fresh, contemporary perspective. Note the surreal twist which Iris paints in the bottom left foreground: the road has been lifted right off the ground and takes a turn as it disintegrates into flowers.
