Honduras San Lazaro

For 2023, we are proud to be entering our fifth consecutive year of working directly with the San Lazaro farm. Finca San Lazaro sits high above the town of San Marcos de Colon near the border with Nicaragua. The coffee is grown in volcanic soil at approximately 1,600 meters above sea level within La Botija Biological Reserve. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspects of this coffee are the people and the mission behind the beans themselves. The San Lazaro farm serves others through the non-profit ministry known as Mission Lazarus. Mission Lazarus provides a multitude of diverse opportunities for individuals and families in the region to not only learn skills that help improve their current circumstances, but also become catalyst for positive change that impacts others beyond the region. In addition to the amazing coffee farm, they are home to a working ranch, artisan shop, hotel, and restaurant which employs over 50 people and generates 25% of their budget.
