We love Eastern skiing, but we all know it can be a dicey proposition.  Despite the many great mountains and all those amazing fall-lines, and woodsy trails, issues like rain and thin snow coverage are always part of the game in these parts.  But there is ONE place in the region that constitutes the closest thing to a guarantee for consistent, deep snow in our beloved, weather-dependent sport. That mountain is Jay Peak.  Jay Peak and the Jay Cloud need no introduction, but we feel the need to gush a little.  Mother nature absolutely buries Jay Peak most years.  A typical year brings almost 400" of the freshies.  This past season, 2
