This coffee originates from the Guji Highland Coffee Plantation, situated at altitudes of 2,000 to 2,150masl in natural, semi-forest areas. Established in 2012, the estate upholds strict production standards and trains surrounding smallholders. Traditional growing methods are followed, benefitting from fertile soil, and organic farming practices. Then, the coffee undergoes a natural processing method, where only ripe cherries are harvested and dried whole for up to four weeks. Skilled workers at the plantation meticulously sort the dried cherries and beans, ensuring optimal quality through manual and mechanical processes before export.
