Apple Crush Pie

    This variation of the classic Apple Crumb Pie blends layers of fresh sliced apples with crumb topping and crushed double dipped chocolate covered peanuts. The result is a satisfying clean taste, not sticky, not overly sweet. This is pleasant, not too filling or overly rich. We also like the Cafe Crust for a subtle coffee flavor. If you prefer other nuts we are happy to use cashews, walnuts, pecans or macadamias. They are all delicious with apples and chocolate. Ingredients: (crust) butter,shortening, flour, water, salt (filling) apples, flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, cream, vanilla, butter, and chocolate covered peanuts.
