This design was inspired by the Mo'olelo (Story) of Hāloa (Long, Eternal Breathe). Hāloa was the first son of Wākea (Father Sky) & his Daughter Kaho’ohokulaniikauikaheahea (She who's sets the Stars in Heaven & adorns the Celestial Regions). Their first son was stillborn, & they buried him outside of their Hale (House) facing the Rising Sun in the East.
