Green Velvet Boxwood

'Green Velvet' boxwood is an evergreen shrub or small tree in the Buxaceae (boxwood) family that can easily be shaped into a formal hedge or topiary.  Thrives in enriched, well-drained, neutral to slightly acidic soils. Mulch root zone to conserve moisture and to keep roots cool. Water deeply and regularly during the first few growing seasons to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. Fertilize in early spring. For a neat appearance, prune annually to shape.
