1940s Navajo Butterfly Pattern Rug

Vintage Western Reservation Najo rug in the butterfly pattern.  Circa 1940s. Hand-woven on a Navajo vertical loom with hand-spun wool and aniline dye.  Measures about 75" x 45" with a warp count of 5 per inch and a weft count of 24 per inch.  In excellent used condition, no missing stitches, no stains or restoration.  Signs of wear commensurate with age.  Includes certificate of appraisal ($4,675.00).
