Highly decorative map etching on paper after Nicolas Visscher (17th. C). The Visschers were dealers of maps and art in Netherlands. Title: "Terrarum Nova Et Accuratissima Tabula". Framed and matted under glass. Mythical scenes were painted by Nicolaes Berchem as decorative and dramatic elements in the map. Plate signature present on lower left. Pristine colors and excellent paper quality as paper used in the time before WW1 was acid-free manufacturing process. Approximate framed measurement: 29.5" x 31.5" x 1".
