Oh Iris!

Iris Apfel. A legendary, ageless, young lady of 90+ years.  A friend of hers asked me to do her portrait. Like many advanced style legends, her layered bracelets signature and large 'owl-like' eyeglasses were Musts. Her hand gestures reminded me of the painted portraits of the regal Spanish Infante, in which curious, child-like hands float above the zig-zag of her body in massive heavy garments. Iris' cuffs are inspired by ruffs and clown cuffs - she's quite humorous!  Owls alight on her hands, exotic birds perch on her collar, she sees gigantic blue gems in everything she sees. Like a planet or an asteroid, Iris beams unto our worlds gifts of Massive Appreciation and Curiosity. *** Decor Tips:  *Will you do my portrait? OF COURSE!
