A Late Spring in Beehive Basin

On June 26, 2022, Beehive Basin, near Big Sky, Montana, is just beginning to show the cracks in a long winter. After abnormally-high spring snow, the long days of summer are finally beginning to shift seasons here, opening water in a small pond, espousing more rock on the south-facing mountains that ring this beautiful basin.  I shot this photo at sunset as clouds began to clear, drifting away to the horizon before a gorgeous, clear night.  This is available on fine, archival paper as well as ready-to-hang aluminum.
