Barn Burning

How many more winters does this Montana barn have in her? Like a tombstone to family farming, it stands stripped of its west-facing shingles, on a winter evening when the sky behind it turns to fire. This is a gorgeous, highly-detailed picture with amazing color. Udate I am thrilled to see that this beautiful barn is being renovated! Growing up where I watched hundreds of family farms go under, I'm happy beyond words to see this get a lease on life. Happy ending stories are always the best.
