The Spanish Peaks

The Spanish Peaks rise above a blanket of fog covering Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley in Southwest Montana. I shot this image just after sunset in early January when a temperature inversion pushed dense fog onto the ground for a couple of days. It's a striking combination of light and shadow, a scene split equally by a river of clouds.  I'm offering this as a limited-edition photographic print on fine, archival paper, and also framed in authentic, smooth-finished, Montana barn wood with a 3" clean, linen mat and the best UV resistant acrylic (much lighter than glass). Each print is signed and numbered, and the edition size is limited to 25. This is a stunning, winter landscape captured during a rare moment of perfect weather for a feel of how dramatic these mountains are. The foreground homestead-era barn adds a haunting feel that pulls your eye all the way through the piece.  Larger sizes can be done through custom orders.
