It’s called the Intangible Cultural Treasure Selvedge, and that name is no exaggeration. This 14oz unsanforized slub selvedge is the kind of denim that shouldn’t exist in 2025. The labor required to produce even a single yard - between the hand-dyeing, fermentation, drying, and weaving - has all but disappeared from modern textile production. And yet, here it is: indigo-dyed warp threads paired with kakishibu-dyed weft threads, creating a richly layered denim with a unique hue and character. The deep blue of the indigo plays off the warm, bronze undertones of the tannin-dyed weft, resulting in fades that are eart
