Peaberry's Rainforest (Burundi)
Character Notes Plum, Citrus, Refreshing Roast Light-Medium Roast Description 'Peaberry's Rainforest' comes from the Heza Washing Station which was built in 2014 by in a remote part of Burundi by Long Miles. In the local language of Kirundi Heza means “beautiful place.” The area is surrounded bu coffee gardens. This washed coffee is first dry fermented for around twelve hours and then wet fermented using fresh natural spring water for up to twenty-four hours. From there the coffee is rinsed and then dried on raised beds. During the twenty-day drying period, defective beans are removed as the coffee slowly dries to the moisture of 10.5%. This particular coffee is a Peaberry. This is a unique but not uncommon coffee when two coffee beans fuse together inside the cherry. Peaberry is prized for its rich flavor. This is a washed whole bean coffee. Ground options are available.
