Nativity Triptych 2

I took pictures of the town of Bethlehem that our family had set up (long standing tradition in our house) and sent them in but didn’t win. I didn’t even hear back from them at all, which is too bad, because it was such a great set up. Years later I decided to try an assemblage version of the Nativity using Fontanini figures, this is the second version that I have created. I wanted each “tile” to be a part of the story of the birth of the Savior. I struggled starting out on this piece because my head was fighting with being respectful with traditional depictions of the Nativity, and wanting to get creative (like I do :).
