Tortoise Series: Victory

Along life’s journey, there are tools of conquering… Light and knowledge gained by hard work, learning and patience. Faith born of a belief in meaning and purpose higher than oneself. Keys to unlock the doors of our own private prisons. Weapons and tools to protect ourselves and those around us, to fight off the forces that would beat us down. And crowns to remind us of who we really are… This sculpture comes with the wooden base I made which is a piece of old hickory found in the Sonoran Desert where I grew up.
