This remarkable flight marked the inaugural solo non-stop transatlantic crossing. After an arduous voyage lasting over thirty-three hours and spanning a distance of 3600 miles, Lindbergh touched down in France, greeted by an exultant crowd. Subsequently, Lindbergh embarked on a tour of the United States, Central and South America, and the Caribbean aboard the famed Spirit of St. Louis. Notably, the aircraft bore the flags of each visited country on its cowling.
