Take out the little plastic stopper. Put metal vent clip around the bottle's neck, then replace wooden cap. Make sure the wooden cap is on tightly, but not so tightly that the cap breaks/cracks. Place wooden dowls through the holes in the wooden cap. Clip onto desired vent. The wooden dowels will act as a diffuser, so there is no need for tilting, shaking, or anything like that. If in a vehicle, make sure to not saturate lid too much, as dripping oil may damage interior.
