Medium:Drypoint engraving, chine colle Dimensions:11" x 18"  Year Completed: 2020 Description: People are comprised of contradictions; we say one thing and do another, we want one thing but pursue another. In this artwork, a contradiction between the lightness of the woman’s smile and the intensity of her aimed gun create a mysterious tension. While her face is mostly hidden behind her hair, the complexity of her personality comes through in just a few details. Just as in life, her target is clear, but the final result to follow remains unknown in the space between her and her target.
