Our Astier de Villatte Hercule Pitcher will add a touch of elegance to any coffee or tea service. Inspired by 19th-century pottery designs, this miniature jug comes to us from Astier’s historic Paris workshop, where it was crafted using black terracotta clay from the Paris Basin and a handcarved plaster mold — a slow-paced, traditional process straight from the Middle Ages that gives each piece its own unique charm. The finished product feathers a classic silhouette, a graceful curving handle, an intricate appliqué pattern for a bit of texture and the brand’s signature milky white glaze, which lets hints of that natural clay color peek through for a perfectly imperfect feel.
