This beautiful blanket was made in collaboration with Tensira — a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish husband-and-wife duo that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with ancestral West African weaving and dyeing techniques. We dreamt up Kendall’s simple yet unexpected design in-house, drawing inspiration from vintage French ticking and the varied band sizes found on India’s traditional striped dhurrie rugs. Tensira’s team of skilled craftswomen then brought our designs to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and indigo-dyeing techniques that have been passed down for generations. The end result is a soft, lightweight bedcover that perfectly balances European elegance with global authenticity.
