Opaque

When we reached out to Brooklyn-based artist Cj Hendry about working together, she gave us a single directive: make an all-black ice cream. We agreed to the challenge, and added a parameter of our own: make it wildly delicious. Opaque is the end result. An ultra-rich and fudge-like chocolate ice cream, packed with velvety black cocoa and classic Fair Trade cocoa. Rippled with decadent espresso fudge that deepens the chocolate with pops of gooey texture. And a (naturally colored) balsamic cherry jam for a fruity lift and just the right amount of bite. A true excavation of flavor, Opaque might look unlike anything you’ve ever had. But its taste — like a chocolate sundae topped with bright cherry sauce — will be instantly familiar.
