Unthwarted

This is an original painting from Jennifer Walker's "The Battle Belongs" Collection Acrylic on 1.5" gallery-wrapped stretched canvas Dimensions: 36" x 36" Signed on front and titled on back "The Battle Belongs" is a collection that encapsulates the adoption journey our family has been on. The title of this collection is taken from a favorite worship song that has been our cry for the past two years. And each work is the visual manifestation and physical representation of how our great God has carried us through—from the almost therapeutic process of just painting alone in my studio with truth in song washing over me to the feelings the color palette and composition evoke for me.  "Unthwarted" comes from Job 42:2 when Job, in the midst of unbearable pain and uncertainty, boldly proclaims of the Lord: "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted." This verse has played on repeat as we have waited and wondered.
