Chinese Ginger Jar #2

Vintage Chinese blue and white porcelain ginger jar is hand painted with central double happy symbol featured on both jar and lid, 20th century. The history of Ginger Jars dates back to the Qin Dynasty days (around 227 BCE-207 BCE!) as a way to store valuable spices such as salt and ginger. Today interior designers use these historic beauties as a way to add color and character to a space. Measures: 9.5" height x 7" diameter, 6" diameter base.
