The roots are harvested and used fresh or dried into powder. Plants have tall and broad tropical foliage and can produce white flowers. Keep in mind, turmeric needs hot, humid weather for about eight months to thrive. It has curcumin, which gives it it's color and is known for being an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound.  Turmeric is propagated thru rhizomes. I sprout rhizom
