The Star of Bethlehem, the same star that guided the Magi to Jesus? birth place, winds the musical mechanism hidden in the roof of the Nativity. Silent Night plays while the Star of Bethlehem slowly turns. The scene is set in a stable: Horses, donkeys, and lambs are present along with Mary, Joseph, and the Magi, All paying homage to Baby Jesus. The carvings are hand made from Olive Wood that is native to the Holy Land. Olive Wood has a rich beautiful natural dark grain that contrasts against the lighter color of the wood. The entire scene is glued together. Each Musical Nativity is unique and distinct. The figures are not molded. The stable is not prefabricated.
