Toshikane Porcelain Chrysanthemum Brooch

Chrysanthemum carry special meaning across many cultures - happiness, loyalty, rebirth, longevity and, as a flower that blooms in fall, beauty despite the coming winter. This porcelain chrysanthemum brooch is by Toshikane, a Japanese firm, headquartered in Tokyo, known for its art porcelain.  The Toshikane company's trademark is shown on the back below the gold-tone clasp. We estimate that this brooch was made in Japan by the Toshikane company in the 50s to 60s.  It measures approximately 1-5/8 inches wide and is in very good condition with a functional clasp.  Please see all photos for best description of condition.
