One the most famous french cakes there is, it's an icon of the art of "Pâtisserie". A light and fluffy layer of "crème diplomate" with pieces of fresh strawberries on a slice of "génoise" cake, topped with "pâte d'amandes" ( french marzipan ) and sprinkles of pistaccios.
