Popularized in the Medieval Era, the ‘Stirrup’ style ring often featured a peak-like shape punctuated by a gemstone, a moniker coined for its equestrian stirrup-like shape, although the design was more likely a reference to Norman architecture. Often embellished with a bezel-set sapphire, the ring style was worn by both laymen and the elite, with weight and detail distinguishing rank. The paired bezels symbolizes two lovers side by side. Rings in this style were referred to as 'gimmel' rings, derived from the French word for twins. Our version is a nod to these storied forms, an austere yet elegant doubled band featuring soft curves and puffed shoulders that peak up to twin bezel set recycled diamonds. The Double Stirrup Ring tapers from 7mm to 4 mm wide and is set with two 2mm recycled brilliant cut diamonds. Crafted in 100% recycled 14k gold, the size 6 ring weighs approximately 6.8 grams. We are delighted to customize this style with higher karat metals and different precious gemston
