Stirrup Ring (Sapphire)
Popularized in the Medieval Era, the ‘Stirrup’ style ring often featured a peak-like shape punctuated by a gemstone, a moniker coined for its equestrian stirrup-like shape, although the design was more likely a reference to Norman architecture. Often embellished with a bezel-set sapphire, the ring style was worn by both laymen and the elite, with weight and detail distinguishing rank. Our version is a nod to this storied form, an austere yet elegant band featuring soft curves and puffed shoulders that peak up to a bezel set Montana Sapphire cabochon The Stirrup Ring tapers from 3.75mm to 2mm wide and features a 2mm Montana Sapphire cabochon. Due to the nature of natural stones, color will vary slightly. Crafted in 100% recycled 14k gold or sterling silver, the size 5.5 ring weighs approximately 3.6 grams in gold. We are delighted to customize this style with higher karat metals and different precious gemstones. Reach out to us at inquiries@jhannahjewelry.com for pricing.
