SRTM Test Panel Membrane The SRTM Test Membrane is a ready-to-use silicone membrane complete with perimeter seal, injection ports, and venting ports, designed for evaluating a wide range of fiber and resin combinations. Every laminate design has unique variables that affect resin flow speed and distance. By placing the prescribed dry fiber on a flat surface mold and applying the SRTM Test Membrane, a vacuum can be drawn, and resin can be injected to determine the resin flow speed and overall distribution. These insights are invaluable for optimizing production mold design, including Injection Port placement or Vanishing Flow Channel layout. In addition to flat panel testing, the membrane can accommodate tapered edge cores, allowing molders to study resin flow around cores.
