18th Century Staffordshire Saltglazed Sauceboat

18th Century Staffordshire Saltglazed Stoneware Sauceboat, ogee Rococo form, with ribbed strap handle. Sides slip cast with crisply moulded roses, rosebush branches issuing leaves, trailing roses all under scroll-moulded rims; scallop-shell lip. The handle terminate a crab stock twig. Unmarked. 2 1/2” H. X 4 1/2” W. X 2 1/2” D. Circa 1750 - 1760. Condition: lower handle with sealed crack. Scattered dots of frit and glaze irregularities.
