Larimar 925 Sterling Silver Ring 5 ¼ ~ JILLIAN VO ~ USA MADE

This sterling silver ring features a beautiful AAA grade Larimar cabochon from Dominican Republic. I bezel set it and added a frame of petal-like half rings before giving it an antique style patina to make the blue in the larimar really pop. The ring shank is a double band, and the stone itself measures 3/4” in length, with the setting being 1” in total length. About Larimar Larimar is one of my favorite gemstones and certainly one of the most interesting and rare. It is a rock called pectolite which is a type of silicate mineral that fills holes and cavities within volcanic rock. Pectolite is found throughout the world; however, this stunning blue variety is found only in the Dominican Republic. It gets its beautiful blue coloration due to the presence of copper. Originally it was found on a single beach at the foot of the Bahoruco Mountain Range.
