Artist: Lynde Mott Title: A Pattern in All Things Medium: Oil on board Price: $8,500 Dimensions:  27 x 41 inches Artist Statement: My creative life can be described as a blessed unrest.  The options and abundance of ideas and ideals to emulate both inspire and intimidate me. I try to grasp and support as many as I can, like the figure in the painting.  Sunflowers are a traditional symbol of loyalty as they face and follow the sun as it moves across the sky. As a Christian, I strive to face and follow the Son of God and do my best to imitate His enlightened life.  The composition subtly resembles a cross. I believe part of my role is to “pick up my cross and carry it” as I navigate the ominous abundance of modern life through following patterns of sincerity and Truth.
